For once, I decided not to eat too fast and to take pictures of my tomatoes, corn salad... I'm not really a good cook when it comes to anything that is not dessert but I love food blogs.

I'm so fond of all those beautiful food pictures !

I wish I could catch such delightful moments myself. For now, I'm not looking forward to pastrami sandwiches and all these fatty things I'd usually die for. I'm more of a lemon and salad fangirl, I always prefer fresh things when the weather is hot.

Raw vegetables.

My brother found sorrel at Picard so I decided to add it in a lot of dishes. Salads, omelettes...

With a rib steak, it's very good, I discovered this association at my neighbour's table, and decided to try it myself. At the end of my meal, my fingers were sticky because of the stewed apricots I had after.

This recipe is very easy to make.

 Actually, it's not really a recipe at all, and I have to tell you I was a little drunk that day. I had something to celebrate.

And I wanted my dessert.

I know this time you won't learn a lot from me but I promise you that next time I'll write an article with a pie recipe or something. I just wanted you to know the importance of a well grilled rib steak, and the marvelous taste of hot sorrel mixed with raw tomatoes. These days I live like a housewife from the 50's, sometimes it's difficult but I have time to make delicious things to eat and I can cook for my Dad and my Mum.

I can't wait for a real summer to come.

I want to use the table in my parents' garden for mid-day. (remember all those sunny lunches)

Sorrel flavoured tomato salad and rib steak

For one plate

You need --

1. Sorrel and tomatoes
2. A handful of corn salad
3. A rib steak
4. Salt
5. Lemon juice
6. Olive oil
7. Pepper
8. Chopped garlic
9. Chopped onions

You do --

1. In a bowl, put the sorrel and defrost it in a microwave oven. Cut the tomatoes in slices.
2. Add corn salad in your plate with the tomatoes. Cook the rib steak in a frying pan.
3. Put the sorrel on top of your salad.
4. Spread some salt on the salad and make a dressing with lemon juice and olive oil.
5. Add pepper, garlic and onions, then place the steak in your plate beside the salad.

Quel étrange moment, quand lui ou elle me blessent. Touche pas à ce que j'aime (surtout les séries, les films ou la musique) au naturel c'est vraiment comme ça que je réagis.

Lundi, mon Khal m'a rassurée. Il connait mon style & sait me dire oui quand je fais des progrès, mais finalement c'est lui ma salle de contrôle à présent. "Pourquoi ça va pas ?", toujours à faire attention à moi, mais pour moi ce n'est jamais assez, j'ai toujours cette peur de l'abandon. Pas une soirée, un moment bien ou une playlist qui ne passe sans que j'y pense au moins une seconde. Je m'imagine princesse, secrétaire médicale et pleins d'autres trucs mais au fond je sais que cette angoisse m'empêcherait de faire la plupart des choses dont je rêve. Et mon frère avec ses problèmes endocrinos, évidemment, je me sens plaquée contre un grillage, un katana sous la gorge tellement la peur m'empêche de respirer.
J'ai parfois l'impression d'être seule contre le monde entier, lundi j'avais besoin de réconfort, 42 j'ai envie de dire. Entre temps, j'ai envie de découvrir le nouveau Fessebook avec mon frère & ma mère, d'aller au ciné : regarder Juno avec ma mère, et puis j'adore voir des films avec mon frère, même s'il ne doit pas vraiment le savoir.
Mercredi je chante avec mon Khal, apparemment, il a hâte que je retourne à l'université, il me l'a dit vendredi. Génial, je me dis, +1 pour Anaïs et Chloé, que je reverrai avec plaisir même si ça signifie moins de temps avec mon Khal ou sur l'ordi avec ma meilleure amie.
Jeudi mon frère et moi on s'est pas vus, il était beau en tout cas samedi malgré sa fatigue. Je peux pas m'empêche de le trouver choupinet quand même & je le défends souvent auprès de mon Khal en essayant de me rassurer moi-même sur son état.
C'est là que je me dis que je suis bonne actrice mais vraiment pour le reste du monde. Moi, je suis sweetie, ou je farfouille chez les autres (pour trouver des points communs genre une passion pour le Rocky Horror Picture Show), j'aime marcher dans la neige toute fraîche, mais au fond je sais que quand je m'ennuie je mange.

Je joue même un rôle avec mon Khal des fois : "oui j'ai mal mais t'inquiètes pas la journée seule à l'appart ça va aller" (déjà la soirée j'ai du mal alors la journée, pas crédible hein ?). Je devrais être la quintessence du naturel avec mon Khal ou Juu, c'est plausible comme théorie : j'essaie toujours avec mon Khal et je sais que je devrais y'arriver, on est amoureux. Et puis je suis souvent mal, j'ai souvent besoin qu'on me sauve. Quant à Juu j'estime qu'elle a déjà beaucoup à penser avec le boulot qui se rapproche à grands pas, la fin de ses études.
Moi, je suis du style à pas trop me confier à mon frère irl mais je le faisais beaucoup par internet avant, on savait beaucoup de choses l'un de l'autre : notre genre de fille ou mec, probablement nos petites déviances, enfin surtout les miennes, et puis nos coups de blues. Si on était dans l'espace, j'aurais plus d'inspiration pour le graphisme et les légendes que je m'invente dans ma tête. Et même sans tout ça, je sens que je pourrais redevenir intéressante, un jour.
Mon frère avait toujours l'esprit de création & l'air d'avoir le sang plein de rhum : "elle s'en va quand Camille ?".
Voilà de quoi on parle maintenant : du côté obscur des choses.

Je promets, mon frère ne tue personne, j'ai souvent envie de lui faire des câlins, quand on vient voir mes parents avec mon Khal ou quand Juu est en visite, mais il ne s'emballe plus tellement et évidemment, c'est pas Poudlard chez moi on se tombe pas dans les bras à chaque fin d'aventure.

J'ai passé la soirée à manger des pêches, des champignons & à me demander comment ça aurait été si j'avais eu mon Khal et Juu avec moi au lycée.
Quand ils sont à la maison, je croque la vie comme un bonbon & j'ai pas l'air de sortir de Sainte Anne. Je ne suis plus cette petite chose solitaire... normalement, je fais des déductions à la Sherlock, parle de voyager en faisant de grands gestes.

Je vais être une dame & regarder le temps qui passe avec moins d'appréhension. Et monter dans le Tardis ! Me relever.

This film amazes me, always. It just feels right when you're watching it and I think it's often underestimated ! The plot is amazing and lovely. The characters are all interesting even those who are in the background ! I was strangely not so attached to the book, I read it when I was a child. It probably deserves a second reading ! I was so impressed with the way they rendered the journal. Cassandra's family is everything - except boring. I would gladly have a father like hers. Her sister is a hottie. And her brother, so full of lust... 

In some ways it reminded me of the vision of love in Phenix and I was as touched by the landscapes as in Into The Wild ! Wow Cassandra's stepmother resembles Solyane when she's grown up... I really like Rose's common points with Orlyane... She has : her hope and good sense, her cuteness, even her beauty. It's like all those love stories you could hear in the streets before. Heroines are so chic ! The costumes are amazing and the storyline is such a nice one. In the film, the focus is laid on the importance to tell the truth about your feelings, and the part played by popularity and social class in the English society of the 30's (and Phenix is more about strength and courage than fame). I Capture The Castle shows moral principles easily, subtly, and we can understand the craziness of that race for celebrity between rich families. Cassandra's powerful reputation is not always a help to her ! Especcially when she becomes conscious of the change in herself, discovers sexuality which is so taboo in the upper class.

I love this beautiful film, it's one of my favourites among my entire collection. Sometimes I feel like films released now aren't half as good as the ones of my childhood, and I wish I was there in the middle of those stories I know so well. I want to see their setting for real. Lovely isn't it ?

 I think it's one of my favourite romances... I could post so much more pictures of it. I actually recognize the characters as if they were my friends, and I walked with them many times before...

One more thing : I must remember every single film I treasure like this ! People should be more appreciative in their perspective of films, some are well established in their fame, but some are practically unknown even if they are full of fancy as well.
